AAI works in support of African nations to identify and realize greater opportunities for economic sovereignty.
Our commitment to promoting inclusive and sustainable African economies is realized through catalyzing economic sovereignty in African countries. Though all nations theoretically have the legal right to exercise control over their own currency, and the economic freedom to achieve their public policy goals, in Africa, realizing this right is rare. AAI works collaboratively to identify concrete opportunities for independent action at the community, country, and regional levels, to catalyze inclusive repair and greater economic sovereignty.

Bridging Botswana and MIT in a New Economic and Education Partnership
The Africa America Institute is excited to announce our partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Republic of Botswana. The collaboration will work to forward the country’s goals of recentering their economy around the fostering and exporting of knowledge and information.
